Job Description:

As a Beauty Advisor, Services at Sephora UK, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional makeup and skincare services to our valued clients. Your extensive knowledge of beauty products, trends, and techniques, combined with your passion for customer service, will ensure an unforgettable shopping experience for every client. You will be responsible for offering personalized consultations, recommending suitable products, and demonstrating application techniques to enhance the client’s beauty regimen. Your expertise and enthusiasm will contribute to the success of our new beauty retailer in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Services Skills: Demonstrate expertise in skincare and makeup application techniques, including but not limited to foundation matching, contouring, and eye makeup. Conduct product demonstrations and offer in-depth product knowledge to educate clients about features, benefits, and usage instructions.
  • Customer Assistance: Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and preferences. Provide personalised beauty consultations to clients, taking into consideration individual skin type, tone, needs, and desired look. Assist customers with product selection and provide detailed information on application techniques. Actively seek feedback from clients to improve service quality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and products available at Sephora knowledge to offer informed recommendations. Have an in-depth understanding of the features and benefits of different makeup and skincare brands, including Sephora’s private label offerings. Continuously expand your knowledge of new beauty launches, ingredients, and industry innovations to provide accurate and valuable information to customers.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain a clean and organised workstation, ensuring all products and tools are sanitized and readily available. Ensure shelves are stocked with an appropriate quantity of products at all times. Monitor product expiration dates and remove expired or damaged items. Participate in visual merchandising activities, including product displays and promotions.
  • Sales and Goals: Proactively engage customers to drive sales and meet store sales targets. Recommend additional products, upsell complementary items, and promote Sephora’s loyalty program. Actively participate in promotional activities and events to maximise sales opportunities. Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities and contribute to the overall success of the store.
  • Brand Representation: Embody the Sephora brand values and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Ensure the store’s visual merchandising standards are upheld, including cleanliness and organization of beauty counters and displays. Act as a brand ambassador by actively promoting Sephora’s values and offerings.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the store team, including other beauty advisors and managers, to create a positive and inclusive work environment. Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance overall customer service and sales performance. Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and workshops.
  • Operations: Assist at the cash desk when asked to, ensuring a positive customer experience. Transition seamlessly to the stockroom to support in deliveries and maintain efficient replenishment processes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the overall operational success of our store. Support other beauty sections in the store, when asked to.
  • New Store Opening Procedures: Support the setup of the new store by participating in unboxing deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring the smooth transition of merchandise to the shop floor and stockroom.

Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment or beauty industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of skincare and makeup products, brands, and application techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients effectively and build relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
  • Passion for the beauty industry, staying updated with the latest trends and product launches.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritise client needs.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices in relation to beauty products and tools.
  • Qualifications in beauty therapy or relevant certifications are a requirement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
